After Mouna ended the relationship, Adriane left voicemails in which she explicitly stated her intention to “take down” and destroy Mouna. These voicemails were left during the same period in which Adriane was sending text messages threatening to shoot Mouna and cut off their head.
In the voicemails, Adriane states:
“I will fight you, and I will take you down. And, you probably thought you picked a pushover who won’t fight back because you saw me broken and you beat me, but you’re wrong. I will fight back and I will take you down. And, just know that. And, know that you deserve it.”
This is significant because it establishes that Adriane’s campaign against Mouna was not motivated by a desire for justice or accountability. It was a stated goal to “take you down” in response to rejection. She later followed through on this promise, accusing Mouna of rape and abuse only after Mouna refused to get back together with her.
