This guy Ryan told me that he thinks our learning should be more resource based and I agree. It makes no sense to spend time memorizing things you can look up. I had this professor in undergrad that gave us open book take home exams that were about application and I think that's much better.

One thing that bothers me even though Daniel is influential and positive, he is very much misogynist. This woman posted about a struggle and Daniel's response was a quote written by a man in which the subject is a man's struggle and a man's method of perseverance. It really bothered me that he had the nerve to do that and not even realize how offensive it is.
I wanted to reply to his comment and ask him if he had anything on a woman's struggle since it seemed he was intent on erasing the difference. But instead I decided I would comment my own supportive quote on her status which would center women and by written by a woman. Then I ran into a problem. None of the quotes I was finding from women were what I wanted. I kept looking for something proud and with bravado like Daniel's quote. Then I realized that the actual problem I was having was that I was looking for a man's words in a woman's quote in order to try to compete. That just doesn't make sense. When I let go of ironically wanting to find something masculine enough, I found a great supportive quote! It was actually hard because I didn't feel it was good enough because it's written in woman's language. But actually I think it's much better I'm just conditioned to see it as not as good!
